Architecture, engineering, and construction — one accountable partner since 2014.
AECLink was founded in 2007 to provide project management consulting services, and has grown into an Alberta-based project development and construction management firm integrating architecture, engineering, and construction under one coordinated process. We deliver solutions across Alberta's residential, commercial, and land development markets — from housing subdivisions and land packages to multi-family communities, renovations, and ground-up construction.
We work closely with homeowners, investors, developers, consultants, municipalities, and trades to move projects from early feasibility through approvals, construction, and handover. Open conversation keeps everyone aligned from the first idea to final delivery, and our proven, systematic process turns vision into reality — on time, on budget, and built to last.
Our approach is practical, transparent, and grounded in real-world construction experience. Whether we are leading a project, working as part of your team, or providing specialized expertise, we help you make the right decisions for your organization at every stage.
Robin Mao founded AECLink after more than 24 years of engineering, project controls, and project management experience — in progressively responsible roles culminating in multi-billion-dollar programs. He holds a Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Alberta, an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and is a registered Professional Engineer (APEGA) and certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Robin led project management and controls on major transportation, energy, and infrastructure projects across North America. For over a decade he has applied that same discipline to real estate development, focusing on infill development including custom homes, duplexes, and multi-family units.
He is a published researcher in construction engineering and management, a board member of the AACE Edmonton chapter, and an active community leader.
“We help clients make confident decisions early, reduce surprises during construction and create lasting value beyond project completion.”
Your project doesn't end at possession — and neither does our commitment.
We build for the long term — decisions weighed against lifetime value, not just upfront cost.
Open communication with clients, consultants, municipalities, and trades keeps everyone aligned.
